At least 5 killed, 11 injured in shooting attack on bus in Jerusalem

Source: Washington Post

At least five people were shot to death and 11 injured Monday after two attackers opened fire at a bus stop in Jerusalem, according to Israel’s emergency services.

The two attackers were also killed at the scene, Israeli police said, after a security officer and a civilian returned fire.

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services first received reports of the attack at Ramot Junction — a busy intersection in the north of the city that leads to Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem — at 10:13 a.m. local time.

The four dead included a man around 50 years old and three men around 30, MDA said in a statement. At least five other people were seriously wounded by gunfire and evacuated to hospitals in Jerusalem, while additional victims with minor injuries, including from glass shards, were treated at the scene, the paramedics said.

It's a complicated mystery. No one's EVER thought of a solution let alone a reasonable one.

It's not like Israel is illegally occupying 82% of the UN-mandated Palestinian lands, and with that, it already has 92% of historic Palestine, squeezing the natives into a mere 8% of what was ALL their land. I mean that would be a terrible injustice and pretty selfish of Israel, right? Sort of like the old-time colonizers and settlers did with the natives, right?

And if that were true, I might think that there IS a reasonable solution and a just one too. Israel just has to give up on its plans for Greater Israel and share the land as it had promised the UN, the world and Palestinians.

Oh. So we're back to square one, right?

The Palestinian armed group said it was discussing how to develop the ideas, noting that it was ready to release its 48 remaining hostages in Gaza in return for a "clear" declaration ending the war.

The desire for justice - and retribution - is a universal human trait. Just look at what Israel has done in Gaza, in revenge for Oct 7th. Personally, I have never seen such savage sadism inflicted on innocents. Every single fucking day, dozens, even hundreds, are murdered in cold blood. On the same day as the bus attacks, 83 people were mowed down, including more than a dozen around the "aid" stations. Many still trapped in rubble, to join the tens of thousands who died in such horrific circumstances - because Israel willfully keeps destroying the life-saving heavy equipment that might have saved them. Fourteen more starved to death. Today, nearly a million people were told to ethnically cleanse themselves or die if they don't. Among them those that can't leave - the emaciated on the verge of death, the weakened by famine, the frail, sick, elderly, very young and those who will choose to die rather than leave their homes never to be allowed to return. These PEOPLE will all be mowed down like they were just vermin to be exterminated. Those who do leave will have nothing to sustain life where they are going to. No shelter, food or water, nothing near adequate. Are they not human beings?

The list of sadistic atrocities are too numerous to mention here, but will fill history books one day.

So tell me again who are the cavemen who prey on the innocent? At least who don't give a shit how many innocents die in their quest to steal more land for Greater Israel and pretend its for "security" when that is the exact opposite of what they have created?

My points being... One, that priviledge, power and might, favoured status etc is no guarantee that you are safe from the wrath of those victimized and occupied for decades and now for two years enduring horrors beyond anyone's sick imagination. And two, that the victimized will use any tools at their disposal in order to "balance" out the scales of justice and seek retribution. I'll just add that Palestinians have been deprived of many things since 1948 that have been afforded to everyone else, and as we see they are not even afforded the understanding that they too are nothing less than human.
