'Bizarre': Model drops bombshell claim about Epstein making her dress as a nurse for Trump

Source: Raw Story

September 6, 2025 9:15PM ET

New allegations came out on Saturday about Donald Trump and his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

Model Cleo Glyde spoke to The Daily Beast about Epstein, who was reportedly her friend in the 1990s, and Trump. This would make Glyde one of several women who have made allegations related to Trump and Epstein, and Trump himself has been found liable for sex abuse in the past.

"A one-time friend of Jeffrey Epstein has laid bare the extraordinary way he tried to impress Donald Trump. Cleo Glyde, a model who knew Epstein in the ‘80s and ‘90s, before his horrific crimes came to light, spoke exclusively to The Daily Beast Podcast about how Epstein used her and a close friend as 'trophies on display' during a bizarre encounter with Trump," the outlet reported over the weekend. "Glyde told podcast host Joanna Coles how she met Epstein through a mutual friend when she was 22 years old."

The Daily Beast further adds, "At that time, she said, the financier’s reputation was 'way more James Bond than Darth Vader.'" The report goes on to describe the purportedly "bizarre encounter with Trump." "Glyde, who said Epstein would often boast about his friendship with Trump, described how the billionaire once hatched an idea to show her and her friend off to the future president," the report states.

In the 60s, when I was in high school, a friend of mine had some record albums of Bill Cosby's comedy. Routines. He had just risen to fame at the time with a co-starring role on I Spy. Before that, he was well known for his standup comedy, and his routines had been recorded and released on vinyl LPs. I remember listening to some of them with my friends and laughing our asses off. (Of course, this was long before he was generally known to be a disgusting, sleazy sex pest, so to us he was just a really funny comic.)

I can't remember a lot of details now, but I remember him telling funny stories about his boyhood pals, including Fat Albert and Old Weird Harold. So I was very familiar with those characters years before they got turned into a cartoon show, as were many other people at the time.

The point of all this is just to say that if people find Fat Albert to be out of step with today's sensibilities, that's because he is literally a relic of a bygone era!

P.S. There's a street in my town called Harold St. I drive down that street fairly often, and my personal nickname for it is Old Weird Harold St. I just can't help it. The first time I saw that street sign, Old Weird Harold immediately popped into my head, and it's been Old Weird Harold St. to me ever since!

It's weird how some people still use the word "millennials" as a synonym for "those darned kids!"

As for the word "drop," i see the release date for albums being referred to that way all the time. Also books, movies, and even TV shows. I was listening to a podcast recently about a new documentary series that was about to be released and they were like, "The first 2 episodes drop on September 1st." So there you go!

and Gen Alpha is right behind them ready to emerge.

My youngest nephew is a Gen Alpha and is the same age as one of my grand-nephews (they are buddies too) and the two of them had zero idea what a "45 RPM" record was (I have a box of them). Fortunately the generations just before them are discovering and embracing vinyl (and their favorite artists are also "dropping albums on vinyl" ) so...

drops new album. Drops new single.

Usually entertainment related. I wouldn't read anything along those lines the wrong way.

But is the term leaking out? 'Supreme Court drops new ruling'. 'ICE drops new plan to deport random people to Antarctica'. We're not there yet or so I thought.

A bit weird. Is the person who wrote the headline (if not AI) trying to sound edgy (generous) or are they trying to trivialize the allegation being made to the level of pop entertainment?

Just weird.

But that's just how language works. Language is changing constantly; new words are always being coined, and people continually find new uses for old words as other old words fall out of favor. As a boomer English major who took a few linguistics courses in college, including History of the English Language, I find the whole thing endlessly fascinating. There's an old saying that variety is the spice of life, and I think that definitely applies to language!

The writer may have used the verb "drops" because it seems to match the next word, which is "bombshell."

As an aside, I have to admit that I like a song by The Gap Band which is titled (I think) "You Dropped the Bomb on Me."

To me Darth Vader suggests a grandeur and scope to his evil that Epstein never came close to achieving.

I would think Gríma Wormtongue from LOTR a better comparison or even Huggy Bear Brown from Starsky & Hutch. Maybe Tattoo from Fantasy Island.

I am not underplaying the damage this guy did. I just think he was a low rent pimp the whole time.
