so they could mute the mics around the seating and just have the mics closest to the courts active so you can hear the ref calls (and do some sound filtering of that too). And the broadcasters could just mute all of the sound and have some color analyst talk over the "silence".

Not uncommon at concert venues. Cellular along doesn’t have the capacity to handle the crowd. If WiFi exists (and it doesn’t always), it’s throttled down to let text messages through but not videos or FaceTime.

While this will not prevent 23,000 from filming the response, it may limit distribution of that footage for several hours.

Thousands of people with camera phones will putt the true response on social media platforms all over the world. The boos will be covered on X, Bluesky, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts. The networks will look like weak fools by allowing the government to censor their 1st amendment rights.
