Schumer demands RFK Jr. firing over CDC chaos

Source: The hill

by Alexander Bolton - 08/29/25 10:15 AM ET

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) on Friday called on President Trump to fire Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the secretary of Health and Human Services, over the ouster of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Susan Monarez and several high-profile resignations.

The termination of Monarez and the resignation of other senior officials has sparked a maelstrom of controversy and a protest of hundreds of people outside the CDC’s Atlanta campus Thursday.

“Donald Trump knew Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would be a disastrous pick to lead health care in America and he nominated him anyway. Donald Trump made this mistake and now he must fire RFK Jr. immediately,” Schumer said in a statement

.........

“RFK Jr.’s stubborn, pigheaded, and conspiracy-based attacks on proven science are going to make many more people sick and cause more deaths. Americans are in greater danger every day Robert Kennedy Jr. remains as HHS Secretary,” Schumer said..................

Hey Chuck, Try this:

In RFK Jr., Donald Trump nominated and the GOP controlled Senate confirmed an individual who is not only ignorant of the scientific process, but is hostile to it and to the advancements that have contributed to reducing morbidity and mortality from preventable diseases, most recently Covid-19. It is time for the President to correct this mistake, and protect the health and welfare of all Americans.

Either the faux-king idiot hasn't considered the effects of an election-year issue being how many deaths RFK Jr is responsible for, or...

... or the faux-king dictator isn't worried about the elections.

Call or write to Senator Cassidy asking him to undo this travesty. I think he is a thinking individual. Can they get RFK, Jr. for lying to Senate during his confirmation hearings?

to say "No one was listening AND ACTING upon his screaming. Another way to say it might be "No one is listening and actually doing something about his screaming."

To me, listening requires actually listening and acting upon that listening.

What would "acting upon" and "doing something" look like. Because one would be reasonable to think that within their government roles there are certain legal limits to what they can do to either the president or his cabinet officials.

What's with this always making the perfect the enemy of the good. It does no good. It just casts shade on your own elected Democratic leaders who daily go above and beyond doing the jobs they were elected to do.
NY keeps him in Congress for a reason. The country would be a lot worse off if we didn't have consistently Democratic voting states like CA, OR, WA, IL, NY and most of the northeast coast states.

Like David Hogg, AOC & others.

Also, Gov. J.P. Pritzger, Gavin Newsom, and Senators. Mark Kelly, Elizabeth Warren, Ed Markey, Alex Padilla, Chris Van Hollen, Brian Schatz, Jeff Merkley and Bernie Sanders.

Brain Worm Kennedy won't be removed as long as the GOP controls both houses of Congress.

Unless the Democratic Party gets its $HIT together by next year's midterms, nothing will change.

Stephen Miller, Pence, RFK Jr. & the rest of Shitler's Project 2025 fascist goons will continue to destroy the very foundation of this country.
