Beto O'Rourke Breaks Down Why Ted Cruz Is A 'Curse Upon The People Of Texas'

Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) tore into political rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday in a ruthless analysis of why the senator always seems to be out of state whenever there’s a crisis. O’Rourke appeared on an episode of Hasan Minhaj’s show, “Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know,” where the comedian jokingly introduced him as someone who “made Ted campaign so hard, Mr. Cruz had to cancel five vacations.”
Cruz earned his frequent-flyer reputation after leaving Texas in 2021 for Cancun, Mexico, while his constituents were struggling to keep warm amid power outages caused by winter storms. More recently, Cruz was spotted sightseeing in Greece while a devastating flood ravaged his state, killing over a hundred people. (Cruz’s office responded to the controversy by saying that the senator returned home “as fast as humanly possible.”)
Minhaj, who labeled O’Rourke a “Ted Cruz expert,” asked him, “Why is he always on vacation at the worst possible times?” “Is it Ted Cruz landing and then causing natural disasters, or does the natural disaster start and he decides to skedaddle?” the comedian joked.
O’Rourke added that the Houston Astros are known to lose whenever the senator is at their games and told Minhaj he believes Cruz is “a curse upon the people of Texas, any way that you put it.”

Why is it that nobody likes Ted Cruz? There has to be a reason .... Just ask Steve Schmidt, he has several.
For one, Cruz an alcoholic and a frequent late-night partier. That's why he looks so terrible, with a puffy face and sleepy eyes even during the day. After drinking and partying all night he rarely gets to the Senate meetings or hearings before 10 o'clock in the morning. And the fact is that Cruz leaves town a lot ... There have been lots of gossipy news stories about how even his own family doesn't like him, or want to be around him.
I don't know if it's all true, but I don't like Ted Cruz and I don't even know him. I've read these gossipy things in Steve Schmidt's regular daily blog. Schmidt has known Ted Cruz for a lot of years, and he doesn't hold back on criticizing Cruz, ever.
