White House is considering inviting Zelenskyy to Alaska

Source: NBC News

WASHINGTON — The White House is considering inviting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Alaska, where President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week, according to a senior U.S. official and three people briefed on the internal discussions.

“It’s being discussed,” one of the people briefed on the discussions said.

The senior U.S. official and people briefed on the discussions said no visit has been finalized and that it’s unclear if Zelenskyy would ultimately be in Alaska for meetings.

The senior administration official said it is “absolutely” possible. “Everyone is very hopeful that would happen,” the official said.

I wouldn't trust these two vicious killers to make sure I'm safe if I'm him.

Also if I were him, and you let me physically close enough to Putin to coldcock him across his murderous mouth, no way I wouldn't do exactly that.

He'd have plenty of good reasons to decline, and I hope he does.

putin doesn't fly, not this distance from moscow... he travels in an armored train these days.

Turkey makes way more sense.

so far from moscow invites a coup.

And now the murdering butcher will be there as well.

To be honest, I'd stay hundreds of miles away from ANY meeting between dim donnie, vance and pootie-poot.

This is just trump flailing to get a nobel peace prize for ... something, anything. Any such meeting without the presence of Ukraine is just a photo op. Putin and trump are on the same "side," so how can they "negotiate" on anything regarding another country? This isn't post-surrender Germany.

I wonder if the Alaska aspect is because putin's foreign travel is severely limited due to his arrest warrant.

and say that the invitation was disrespectful because Trump didn't say "Please"!
Really, Zelensky should insist that if such a meeting were to take place, it must be in a country that he trusts as an ally.

without the Leader of Ukraine being invited and having the most to say. Our President (NOT our current one) should at most be an intermediary. This is not up to Trump. He wants to give Putin the maximum of what Russia wants but still broker some kind of peace because all he cares about is getting that coveted Nobel Peace Prize. I can only hope that everyone who is anyone in this world despises Trump and all that he stands for and would never award him with anything. Unfortunately it seems like his whining and insistence all to often works.
