(1,515 posts)I wouldn't trust these two vicious killers to make sure I'm safe if I'm him.
Also if I were him, and you let me physically close enough to Putin to coldcock him across his murderous mouth, no way I wouldn't do exactly that.
He'd have plenty of good reasons to decline, and I hope he does.

To be honest, I'd stay hundreds of miles away from ANY meeting between dim donnie, vance and pootie-poot.

(14,923 posts)This is just trump flailing to get a nobel peace prize for ... something, anything. Any such meeting without the presence of Ukraine is just a photo op. Putin and trump are on the same "side," so how can they "negotiate" on anything regarding another country? This isn't post-surrender Germany.
I wonder if the Alaska aspect is because putin's foreign travel is severely limited due to his arrest warrant.

(4,887 posts)and say that the invitation was disrespectful because Trump didn't say "Please"!
Really, Zelensky should insist that if such a meeting were to take place, it must be in a country that he trusts as an ally.

(10,539 posts)without the Leader of Ukraine being invited and having the most to say. Our President (NOT our current one) should at most be an intermediary. This is not up to Trump. He wants to give Putin the maximum of what Russia wants but still broker some kind of peace because all he cares about is getting that coveted Nobel Peace Prize. I can only hope that everyone who is anyone in this world despises Trump and all that he stands for and would never award him with anything. Unfortunately it seems like his whining and insistence all to often works.
