(Bloomberg) Billionaire Elon Musk said he is considering sending his government efficiency team to the Federal Reserve, citing a costly renovation of the central banks Washington, DC, headquarters as an example of potential government waste.
Since at the end of the day, this is all taxpayer money, I think we certainly we should definitely look to see if indeed the Federal Reserve is spending two and a half billion dollars on their interior designer, Musk told reporters Wednesday at the White House.
The Feds multiyear headquarters renovation has ballooned to a $2.5 billion price tag as of 2022, a figure that the central bank pinned to higher costs of building materials and labor since the project started in 2021, right as inflation began to soar. Thats an eyebrow raiser, Musk said.
Musk spoke Wednesday in the White Houses Roosevelt Room, just hours before the Wall Street Journal reported that Tesla Inc.s (TSLA) board had initiated talks with a search firm to find the EV makers next CEO. Tesla Chair Robyn Denholm later called the report absolutely false in a post on X.

(920 posts)Musk is working with Visa to develop a digital wallet called an "X Money Account" that will enable peer-to-peer payments, transfer funds, and potentially access other financial tools on the X platform. Musk is intending to turn X into an "everything app" that goes beyond being just a social media app, into financial tools and other services. Elizabeth Warren called him out on this when he took his DOGE axe to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), an agency that has jurisdiction over just those types of financial services. Musk doesn't like fair play and wants an unlevel playing field for his companies. Thus his desire to get into the Federal Government. That, and plundering all the data.

(10,571 posts)The federal reserve board is filled with very serious and incredible powerful people. While people like eLoon and the Mango Mussolini play pretend, these are the people in actual control of the money.
I am not saying this to be funny or mean it in a glib way at all. There is a reason that no president in the modern era of the Federal Reserve has been stupid enough to fuck with them because, as the saying goes, these aren't the kind of people you fuck with if you know what's good for you

Lock the doors. Musk can go fuck himself. His minions can go fuck themselves.
Any data that they downloaded or illegally accessed must be returned and criminal charges brought against him and them.
Confiscate his assets. Revoke his citizenship and deport him.
