Leader of Trump's Faith Office says she 'submits' to husband in 'God's order'

Source: The Independent

Thursday 24 April 2025 06:45 BST

The leader of President Donald Trump’s White House Faith Office said Wednesday that she willingly “submits” to her husband, whom she dubbed the “head” of her household. “God has an order,” Paula White-Cain told right-wing media outlet Real America’s Voice as she described her vision of the divinely dictated relationship between men and women.

“Look, the head of my household is my husband, Jonathan Cain, period,” she emphasized. “If there’s ever a time that a decision has to be made and we don’t agree on something, he’s the head,” she added, going on to say it’s “not hard to submit” to her husband.

White-Cain, who has been divorced twice, got her start as a televangelist. She also served as Trump’s spiritual adviser and helped lead his Evangelical advisory board during his first presidency.

Trump established the Faith Office, which White-Cain now leads, via executive order on February 7. That same month, he established the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Relationships are partnerships. When they no longer work either partner should be free to sound the alarm and/or head to the exits.
Why is there a "Faith Office" in the White House? One would think if consulting a religious advisor became important for some reason it would not be hard to reach out to find one or more.
Perhaps a Non-faith Office of Reason might be helpful?

He then declared himself an apostle by the will of God. I wouldn't put any worth in anything he said.
Paul was elevated by Emperor Constantine, the man who seized control of the teachings of Jesus and created the whole Roman Catholic Church thing.

Of course he saw women as inferior, and decided that God did also.
Throughout history, men have always looked for ways to denigrate women.

Journey was my absolute favorite band when I was a tween and young teen. Saw them on the "Escape" tour - my first real concert (that is, with my brother instead of one my parents took us to see). Jonathan Cain has turned out to be quite an a$$wipe. After the way they all treated Steve Perry, I can't help but enjoy a little schadenfreude at their internal squabbling, but at least Neal Schon isn't a Trump humper.

24. 'Selling miracles on the side': Rachel Maddow calls out WH official's 'YouTube evangelism'

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow called attention to the head of President Donald Trump’s White House Faith Office, whom she flagged for continuing to peddle religious articles and other “supernatural blessings.”

“Are you feeling the itch to send this U.S. government employee, the head of the White House Faith Office, $1,000 or more? If so, congratulations, because that is how you get all this stuff, including the ‘special year of blessing’ and ‘a long life’ and ‘taking your sickness away’ for the low, low price of $1,000,” Maddow said sarcastically.

The primetime host opened her show Wednesday by highlighting the YouTube presence of Trump’s longtime spiritual adviser Pastor Paula White-Cain, who besides leading the White House Faith Office as senior adviser is still hawking religious offerings online......

Maddow concluded in a sarcastic tone that it was “nice to know that at least someone in the White House” was working on issues like “long life” and “take sickness away,” even “if they are charging for them.”

She then folded the MAGA pastor's miracle-selling ways to the Trump administration’s cut to USAID’s funding of global vaccinations.

“You may be able to buy those things by sending $1,000 to the head of the White House Faith Office, but know when you're doing so that the U.S. government itself will no longer be working toward those aims in the material world,” Maddow concluded.

Totalitarianism is very much like religion. Suppressing religion or forcing a specific religion on people is one of the tools that these ideologies use to control people. Supporters treat these ideologies as their religions; all of them are essentially about the glorification of the state. Some actually call them political religions.

Religion is responsible for almost all warfare in the history of humanity.
