Post formatting has been restored

This discussion thread was locked by Skinner (a host of the Announcements group).

After DU was vandalized by a hacker, we had to remove post formatting while we rewrote some code to make it more secure. Post formatting has now been restored. The following tags will work:

I noticed a post yesterday using the excerpt and tried it then and it worked. Also did it today along with the other formatting!

The reason is that it requires user input to be translated into HTML, which is the vector that is insecure.
