Oh noes! Problems with the weather at Mt. Rushmore too, according to FAUX
The journalists covering it said there is severe weather incoming and they will have to take shelter! Between this and the heatwave at the D.C. fair, it seems like a message is being sent. 
Edited to add it's a hailstorm, rain, and high winds.

winds that shatter a window so that he gets sucked out. That would be just terrible. 
(Actually, it would be terrible given how much we all paid to refurbish the bloody thing).
