Chris Hayes just reported that trump is going to host a "midterm convention" for Rs in TX

He says it will be in Dallas and will be truly historic. Man, they are desperate about the midterms. Problem is the more people see of them, the less they like it. Endless speeches by Paxton et al doesn't seem like a winning strategy to me.

It is a big mistake for Trump to take the stage and make all the Republicans hang out with him.

Will Susan Collins?

Will Vivek?

He's not exactly popular, even in Texas.

Edit: Will Cornyn speak? Will Massie? Will Cassidy? Will Greene? Will Nancy Mace, or however she identifies now.

Trump is very popular and needs to appear with all the R candidates. Only he can save them.

I don't really know the contours of the Texas race, other than the GOP was quite fast to drop Cornyn as soon as Trump asked.
