Freedom is just another word...

As we near this historic Fourth of July, we contemplate what "freedom" means to us?

It is probably easier to define what "freedom" is not.

It is not bowing down to a leader or a king.

It is not surrendering personal decisions to the state.

It is not intimidation or fear of speaking up.

It is not chaos or anarchy. It is organized for the good of all.

It is not a class system, socially or economically, although that is a tough trap to escape.

It is not dividing, it is uniting.

It is not threatening our world neighbors.

Americans may fly balloons and barbecue hot dogs but there is more they should contemplate on this upcoming holiday, in my opinion.
