The Democratic Party should be out front in framing Patriotism

Sorry if I don't buy what Traitor Trump's mouthpieces like Bill Maher and Kelsey Grammer are trying to sell me on what Patriotism is..

"Washington warned us to 'guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.' But then these Trumpists repeatedly confuse patriotism with partisanship and invoke a blood-and-soil nationalism that is the opposite of the American promise."

1. Patriotism isn't easy to define - at this point in time IMO it is simply fighting to preserve our Democracy and the rule

of law - in other words - opposing everything Trump and Republican backed.

This is a human problem. One of decency and morality and justice. This country's institutions and civil society allowed this. the mask is off.

All that remains is a concern for the well-being of citizens, of humans. There is no need for branding that with a red, white, and blue logo.

This country is unwilling to examine its history. Our leaders like marble under their feet and leather under their asses.
