Associating Hitler with socialism as a put down of Trump is a stretch that most people would not get. Instead, it would work against Dem candidates because it would link Hitler with liberals, progressives, and all Dems in general.

In Bush Jr's first campaign and term, his supporters linked Nazis with liberalism and with socialism to paint Dems as Nazis. I encountered many online posters at various website discussions who believed, or at least promoted the belief, that Dems were Nazi socialists/communists. The propaganda lumped Nazi, liberal, progressive, socialist, communist, and Democrats all together as one and the same political identity.

We really don't need to say things that would end up linking Nazis with progressives and liberals in the general public's minds. Trump and MAGAs will try to do that.
