They have already been bashed by Trump for a couple of decisions. That was to lososen then up for this case.

I think that SCOTUS is going to take away birthright citizenship because this decision is taken too long. SCOTUS will bend over for tRump like they always do, Monsanto verdict.

I bet my big toe that they are going to deny Trump on this one. If they don't it is pitchforks. All hell is gonna break loose.

But I think a 6 - 3 decision

I don't think the country could survive that. There would be an all out revolt like nothing we have ever seen.

Not even gutless Alito will be able to make an argument that that the 14th amendment isn't crystal clear.

Because this was an EO by Trump they could rule that this is a legislative matter and the executive branch cannot legislate with an EO.

This would leave the door open to congress passing some sort of citizenship law that this court may be willing to review.

I am fully expecting them to side with Trump and throw birthright citizenship out on account of some “spirit of the constitution” argument. Soon after American citizenship will essentially just be for sale
