...left by one of the "vandals." The title was "Basic Algaebra."

I would really be worried if it was a book about that radical Greek offshoot, Trigonom-etry. It's led by a mysterious guy named Theta (no one's ever found him, to my knowledge), and the books teach all about his sines and cosines.
