I just read the text of the MOU in a Reuters report, and it says the $300 billion reconstruction fund will be established “by the US and its regional partners”, with the only specific action assigned to the US is ensuring there are no obstacles in the banking system regarding the transfer of money.

So, the question now is, are Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Israel going to fork over the cash?

IIRC, the MOU says there is a 30 day deadline for half of the $300 billion to be released.

The best Iran will get is the unfreezing of its own damn uncommitted money, maybe $60 billion. It will have to eat the remaining $340 billion or so estimated reconstruction costs. Meaning it will never recover.

Hamas and Hezbollah?

I especially hate it that Hamas and Hezbollah have killed at least 80,000 people in the last 2.5 years, wounded nearly 200,000 and destroyed the homes, dreams and livelihoods of well over 2 million. I really hate the recent ethnic cleansing and dispossession of 1.2 million and the coming ethnic cleansing of another couple million. I absolutely hate the daily evictions, terror and murders they are committing in the West Bank. They don't care about poor folk at all.

I despise how they've destroyed or damaged 85,000 civilian structures, nearly 200 medical centres and 600 schools, not to mention bridges, water towers and other civilian infrastructure including Iran's MIT and Harvard. And that's just Iran. They completely wiped out Gaza! I hate the most that they killed 160 schoolgirls in Iran and thousands in Gaza. They killed 20,000 kids there, you know.
