$162,000

That is the price of two court side seats for game 3 of the NBA finals at Madison Square Garden, which begs the question.

Who the fuck is going to fill those seats? This is the domain of the uber wealthy, who have no qualms dropping these fat stacks to be “seen” and “have the experience,” but who blanch and act like total beyotches when asked to pay their fair share of taxes.

Fuck them say I, and just like the NBA has a luxury tax to prevent wealthy teams like the Knicks or Lakers from hoovering up all the talent there should be a similar tax on these tickets.

(I also know that if those tickets go unclaimed, Knick management will reach out to any number of A-listers and give them away just to fill them).

I’d sooner go watch the Liberty in Brooklyn.

A couple of decent seats for 1% of the cost. I grew up in Manhattan and nothing justifies this at all, nothing.
