Has anyone else experienced an uptick in right leaning propaganda on Youtube?

I've been scrolling trough shorts today on Youtube, a bad habit I admit. Of course they know I lean left and the content I'm shown usually reflects that. Not today. There was a noticeable uptick in right leaning content. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know of a change in Youtube that might be the cause of it?

2. I haven't- yet. There was an uptick in vote for the repuk endorsed by trump ads, though.

One of my favorite content creators has been complaining about how some of his content is being throttled, though. He says he wouldn't be so annoyed if it was consistent, but it seems like what's ok in one video is suddenly not in another.

3. I think youtube recommends you something they think you are going to watch.

You probably watched something political (right leaning) so now they think that's what you want to watch.

because I keep getting ads focused on using AI to manage my workflow and I watch no videos related to anything AI and have no need of any software like that.

when he came out with video about how bad England's Navy is and it does need improvements but the comments were full of RWers blaming "the immigrants", same talking points that Musk has been pushing in offshore and the YTer was hearting those nasty comments. He has some interesting videos on his channel but it didn't take me long to unsubscribe.

I have a premium account and have a pretty reliable feed. From the start I have curated my subs and rejected all wacko, RW nut job, psuedoscience, scammy, or AI slop accounts. After 10 years I seldom see anything in my feed that is objectionable. Then again, I seldom add channels these days unless I have vetted them. I don't see ads, except the ones run by the creators themselves in their videos (I got a premium account specifically to AVOID ads).

Recently I searched on videos on cataract surgery as a friend was about to get the surgery and what it offered up looked reputable (accounts that have large followings, with active relevant comments, and whose IDs checked out when subjected to verification). Now, I am being offered a lot of other channels discussing eye issues, cataracts, surgical options pre/post-op advice. As I found the information I needed, I ignore them and they start to fade the days go by.

I have seen only a few RW sites on my YouTube feed. I ignore them.

I have received several liberal ads for donations to Talerico and to another Dem candidate whose name I forget right now. That one is in NY and I am in NY but not in his district.
