I mean, I'm just a lowly librarian, but when I'm booking talent for a program, I contact the folks 6-8 months in advance, and that's just for local acts, If I were trying to get Nikki Minaj, I'd have started a year ago. Jason Aldean is on tour. That's why they were looking at The Commodores and Martina McBride, acts not nearly as popular as they once were. They though they could just whip a major week-long concert event up in a month. The stupidity of this regime is, uh, stupifying.
