You dont get credit for complying with a temporary court order. Trumps scheme to rob American taxpayers wont be dead until Congress bans it.

(3,160 posts)that means they will NOT abide by the intention of the ruling. They will just modify their actions slightly to force the litigation to start over on a different footing. These people are completely lawless, so don't be counting any chickens.
They will probably do something like diverting the illegally confiscated tariff money to fund the "Trump Slush Fund 2.0, Now with Gold Plating". And they will do it completely through cronies so there isn't an issue with DoJ doing it.
When billions of dollars are sitting there in front of lifelong criminals, this is irresistible.

(24,650 posts)Norman Eisen, the former White House ethics czar who has become one of the most aggressive legal thorns in Donald Trump's side, filed a new lawsuit Monday on behalf of former January 6 prosecutors, refusing to accept media reports suggesting the administration's $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund has been quietly shelved.
"We are NOT accepting media reports as proof that the $1.8B slush fund and 'settlements' associated with it are dead," Eisen wrote on X, announcing the filing. "That's why we have just filed a new lawsuit to make sure this ENDS."
The complaint for injunctive and declaratory relief was filed in federal court Monday, Case 1:26-cv-01907, on behalf of two former prosecutors who handled January 6 cases. It names Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and IRS Chief Executive Officer Frank Bisignano as defendants, along with the Justice Department and the Treasury Department.
