As a rule, when the White House tries to convince the public that Donald Trump is succeeding, all evidence to the contrary notwithstanding, officials say that this is the United States golden age. Its not true, though the phrase at least relates to the presidents weird fixation on gold things.
On Wednesday night, however, deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller presented Fox News viewers with a different label for the Trump era.
The American people understand the hell that we inherited and the extraordinary paradise that President Trump is building, Miller said with a straight face.
Right off the bat, the conditions that the Republican administration inherited from its Democratic predecessors were actually worthy of a thank-you note: By Inauguration Day 2025, the U.S. economy was the strongest in the world; inflation was falling; crime rates were falling; and international polling showed the nation with renewed credibility and global respect.

Miller is shameless when he's groveling to his master.
