I was just interviewed by my local NPR station about my concerns for the primary and general election.

I had two:

1. Climate change. If the planet dies, (and it is dying before our eyes) we all die.

2. Stopping the Trump administration.

I don't know if I'll make it on the radio or not.
The reporter came to my front door along with one of our Dem candidates for Congress.
He and I talked for quite a while. I'm going to vote for him (in the primary)
I've voted for him in the past.

I'll vote for whatever Dem wins in the general, though.

Yes but higher gas prices hurt the poor the most. MAGAts don't really care about higher gas prices for the most part LymphocyteLover Thursday #5

I am in full agreement with you. The food chain is breaking down and people are dying from excessive heat and flooding!

Higher gas prices discourage use of fossil fuels and make owning an EV more attractive. Those of us who are concerned about climate change need to be advocating for higher gas prices and gas taxes.

We say we want low gas prices yet act surprised when people buy big pickups and SUV.

That also applies to people who are always flying here and there. Airports always jam packed every holiday and all summer long. The news always reporting another record for travel. The ecological footprint from that is equally as to blame.

Unlike our former European allies, we've not ready for it economically or infrastructure wise thanks to Pukes and oil interests. I get your point but if this is how it happens it's gonna be very painful for a whole lot of people.

However, the planet won’t die. Probably the sea life would be the first to go followed larger mammals. A toss up between birds and flora. Some life should persist until the sun novas. Even a directed gamma ray burst probably wouldn’t exterminate everything unless all the water was lost. Earth would go on living and evolving into another epoch with different species. Just another of several extinction events. Gaia wouldn’t miss us at all…..

Just my opinion.

But we're not the Permian Extinction. Now those were tough times. We're more like the PETM Thermal Maximum. A massive resorting but life went on. Maybe that's what the landlord needs to do to put us back in our place. Sucks but bad tenants call for extreme measures sometimes.
