US and Iran reach tentative deal to extend ceasefire, US officials say (BBC)Negotiators for the US and Iran have agreed a framework of a deal that would extend their ceasefire for 60 days and launch negotiations on the future of Iran's nuclear programme, US officials say.
The agreement is yet to be approved by President Donald Trump or the leadership in Iran, the officials told the BBC.
But there were conflicting reports from Tehran, with Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency quoting a source close to talks who said it had not been finalised or confirmed.
Both Iran and the US have accused each other of violating the fragile ceasefire in the past few days.

So while the markets will likely react positively, it really feels like an extension of the limbo we currently are in.

Essentially, it's an agreement to continue negotiating. That it is some form of market manipulation / management is obvious enough, but the hand-flapping over it is very odd if not pathetic.

Both sides think they can outwait the other. Iran thinks political pressure in the US will force Trump to cave, and Trump thinks economic pressure will eventual force Iran to cave.
I bet we'll be in the same position in two months.
