We are in a communication badlands
I am worried Democrats are not taking the elections serious enough or with way too much confidence.
I don't mean that to be a "Debbie Downer" but we are in no position to be overconfident.
Over the last couple of years, rightwing billionaires and corporations have bought almost all of the TV and radio stations nationwide, CBS News, 60 minutes, CNN and MSNBC doesn't even exist anymore.
All social media formats, from Facebook to YouTube, is now owned by billionaires.
Voting machine companies are being bought or significant interest in, by Trump aligned Republicans. Dominion Voting Machines is now called Liberty Vote and is 100% owned by a Republican.
While we highlight that $33 million dollars was used by Republicans to win a Republican primary, it shows that they have nearly unlimited resources and could spend that much or more in every single election for the House.
Example: even if they spent $30 million dollars in each of the 535 House seats that is only $16 billion dollars. Bezos and Musk could fund that and not even notice a difference in their net worth.
We are in a tough spot and we must be clear eyed and sober about the forces lined up against us.
Don't be down but let that motivate you. Stay determined. Stay woke. Be th best advocate for Democrats you can but also recognize it is NOT your personal responsibility to carry the Democratic Party. Do what you can and never feel obligated to bare the burden alone. Hold our Democratic Party elected officials accountable and demand an immediate release of that DNC report that VP Harris has even demanded they release.
Stay positive but never underestimate the forces standing against democracy and the powers at their fingertips.
