To all the big-tech ass-kissers traveling to China with Stump, a message from Buzz Aldrin.

You've turned technology with the potential to benefit mankind into shit.

Yakety Yak,
AND DON'T COME BACK.

Orange Julius:

Take out your phone and blubber trash
Or you don't get no spendin' cash
If you ain't got a social score
You ain't gonna rock and roll no more
Yakety yak (don't come back)

Just spend all day in your ball-room
And keep on scrolling like it's doom
Get all Jeffrey Epstein of sight
Or you don't go out Friday night
Yakety yak (don't come back)

You just put on your tinfoil hat
Cuz all your posts make great kompromat
And when you finish doin' that
Bring in Sam Altman for a chat
Yakety yak (don't come back)

Those tech-bro's, they're all crooks
They'll wreck your mind and gorgeous looks
Just tell your buddy Xi Jinping
You want to stay and kiss his ring
Yakety yak (don't come back)

Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak

They've essentially taken the "old internet" offline.

Straight out of 1984.
Cancel old history and write history that's more favorable.

Yeah, god forbid some site is impersonating technologyreview.com! Https is great when
needed, but for archives?

To be fair, it's pretty easy to switch to https, their main site switched (https://www.technologyreview.com),
and it's just laziness that they didn't go back and convert all their old links.

are some net improvements on what already existed, in addition to all the other "solutions" looking for problems that don't exist. Nothing ground breaking for all the hype and money spent. And don't say AI. To generate some text or code I'll have to spend time vetting for fear of inevitable errors, i.e. should have just done it myself, they're threatening to use more electricity than the entire state of Utah. Not to mention water resources in a region hard pressed as it is.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/may/13/utah-approves-datacenter-backlash

Only upside is it will probably never be completed. No AI firm has yet to deliver a believable plan to generate enough revenue to cover the gargantuan cost in a host of lifetimes. Dot Com bubble on steroids.
