The company I worked for bought me one to replace my little drug kingpin beeper. The "brick" only got reception within a mile or so from the Interstate. What a piece of shit.

...were issued after the tech turned them into shirt pocket size.
Pretty sure our first phones were Nokia, but I wouldn't swear to that.
Worked fine, except at that time they were useless in Europe & South America. I don't remember if they worked in Japan or the Philippines, though.
