🚨 BREAKING: Trump has arrived in China to find that President XI did NOT greet him at the airport.

This loss is that the U.S. is no longer respected--

🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Donald Trump has arrived in China to find that President XI did NOT greet him at the airport.

MAGA is in spin mode heralding the “red carpet treatment,” but the visit is already at a rocky start.

Instead of a presidential welcome, Trump was greeted by US Ambassador to China David Perdue; Xi’s vice president, Han Zheng; China’s Ambassador to Washington Xie Feng; and Executive Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu.

I’m sure Trump would hate if you shared this and rubbed it in all day long.

The amount of oil China imports is staggering - 11 million barrels per day.

They had been satisfying that need easily and cheaply buying grey market Iranian oil.

I imagine Xi is insanely pissed off at Trump.

I get Trump hate as much as anyone, but it was certainly a coordinated state reception, and I can find nothing to suggest that Xi was ever going to be there to greet him on the red carpet. There is "fighting the good fight" and there is delusion.

President Donald Trump has just landed in Beijing to an arrival ceremony replete with the pomp and pageantry the US president is known to appreciate.

In a show of the importance of the trip, China’s leader Xi Jinping has dispatched a high-level official to lead the welcome delegation — Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.

Han is widely seen as Xi’s envoy for diplomatic events and last year attended Trump’s presidential inauguration. He is a retired member of the Politburo Standing Committee, the Chinese Communist Party’s top-most decision making body.

Other officials on the ground include US Ambassador to China David Perdue, his counterpart Chinese Ambassador to the US Xie Feng, and China’s executive vice minister of foreign affairs, Ma Zhaoxu, according to the White House.

the breathless BREAKING tag and the delusion that Trump "arrived in China to find that President XI did NOT greet him at the airport" is neither breaking nor news, merely protocol arranged and understood in advance.

As usual, it's not hard to find the republican version of such asinine clickbait from Democratic presidencies:

Donald Trump has said he expects a "big, fat hug" from China's Xi Jinping when they meet in Beijing this week, though multiple thorny issues between the two sides could see the US president kept at arm's length.

Taiwan, tariffs, rare earths and the war in Iran are among the contentious topics set to be discussed by the two leaders, whose styles of communication could hardly be more different.

Trump's often bombastic, freewheeling comportment on the international stage contrasts dramatically with Xi's measured, tight-lipped approach to foreign policy.

With little knowledge of reality or details. Xi has better intelligence and better understanding of how to handle Trump. Trump will get abused in this meeting and come out feeling like a champ. Because he's stupid.

... a serious loss of face for Trump, although he's too ignorant to realize it. "Face" is VERY important to the Chinese, and in this context it is a subtle, but unmistakable dope-slap upside the head to a dumb-ass American who is doing his damnedest to fuck up the world.
