I also heard that Witkoff did not understand some of the granular explanation of what they did or didn't have for nuke capability.

They didn't bring any topic specific experts or seasoned diplomats to the discussion. The Omani foreign minister and British official were the professionals in the room, and they saw a deal was offered by Iran.

shithole got no approval, and besides Iranian leaders being killed, two schools were bombed killing 100s of children and school staff.

Yes, they killed children and very little is said about it.

Any war would do and meanwhile, he had Netanyahu giving him all sorts of options in regards to Iran.

A huge diversion was necessary and Trump is a master of diversions, even though he tends to be terribly obvious. He could end up destroying life as we know it in his over-the-top attempts to divert public attention from his crimes and corruption.

How can so many let one pitiful little man do so much damage in such a short period of time?

we've witnessed and experienced over the years. Belief in democracy and the constitution often trumped power-hungry authoritarian leaders.

Republicans turned their backs on Nixon when he went too far, though I started to sense many of them during the Bush years were headed in this direction. I cast a lot of that blame on Newt Gingrich, but there is plenty of blame to go around.

I see this unlinked meme on a lot of FB and Insta sites, but would like to see the article. I do see that on Feb 21 the Guardian reported that:

Iran is refusing to export its 300kg stockpile of highly enriched uranium, but is willing to dilute the purity of the stockpile it holds under the supervision of UN nuclear inspectorate the IAEA, Iranian sources have said.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/feb/21/iran-refusing-to-export-highly-enriched-uranium-but-willing-to-dilute-purity

On Feb 27, The Hill reported:

Oman’s foreign minister said Friday that Iran is offering to give up stockpiling enriched uranium as part of a deal with the U.S. related to its nuclear program.

Iran currently holds a stockpile of between 300 and 400 kilograms of 60 percent enriched uranium that nuclear experts have warned can be converted to a nuclear weapon.

Al-Busaidi suggested that Iran has agreed to downgrade the enriched uranium.

Countries to their credit eventually all stood up, and left too, leaving tRUMP all by himself. Idiot is going to destroy everything that all of us in the US have worked so hard for, in building relationships w/ the world, being citizens of the world, developing trade relationships, etc., all done w/o tRUMP to begin w/.

tRUMP needs to be be Amendment-outed of the office of the presidency, he is not being a good president, but instead, letting his emotions govern his actions.

I’ll be damned if my taxes pay for a cent of it.

It’s no longer an official act, and therefore unworthy of public funds to support it. Any more than the ballroom should be paid for by taxpayers.
