1. Trump & co. will only go after those that hurt his feelings. He's fine with marketers of 8647 merch,

as long as they don't badmouth him. He's also fine with 8644 (Barack HUSSEIN Obama) and 8646 (Joe Biden) merchandise. As to Todd Blanche, he's just a pompous asshole with a vague understanding of law.

2. Speaking of Joyce Vance, I saw her last week on MSNOW and she looks really, really ill.

I know she's had breast cancer, and it was horrible to see what is apparently happening with her health. Hope it's just the results of chemo or something and only temporary.

4. I saw her this week also and thought she looked very thin. I did not know about her breast cancer.

Hope she is doing well. She always has such common sense answers to these legal questions. Always in layman’s terms.

or a DOJ that is so afraid of looking partisan, it doesn't uphold the law. The latter is what gave us the former."

It's like he thinks if he talks faster, and faster, and faster that somehow he will hit on something that isn't ludicrous!!

The go to seems to be "But it was a really, really, really long investigation!" Even at their presser Blanche and Patel kept hitting that one. It brought to mind my time as a TA in grad school when a failing undergrad would complain with some variation of "But I worked for hours, and hours, and hours. How can you give me an F on this?!?"

It doesn't come up in this clip, but another is pointing out the indictment came from a grand jury (i.e., Don't blame us. We just presented "the facts." if it's stupid, it's not our fault!).

And then there was this bit from Patel, also at the announcement "They are career agents, career prosecutors who work these matters." (Note, Patel didn't say "this matter," which means that after the initial interview with Comey, when the secret service dismissed the matter as trivial, "this matter" was NOT worked by career people.)

And then the idiocy of tryiing to imply Comey had some "guilty knowledge" because he apologized and deleted the post. (Which was effectively an "If you say 8647 means anything beyond throwing out 47 as you would a disruptive drunk from a bar, OK. Didn't mean that to me. Sorry. It's gone." )

Blanche knows EXACTLY how absurd it is, but he is auditioning for AG and is willing to humiliate himself to prove he will jump through any hoop the felon-in-chief asks of him, however ludicrous.

From Patel at the presser:

These cases take time. Our investigators work methodically. They are career agents, career prosecutors who work these matters. They call the balls and strikes in the field as they see fit pursuant to the facts of the case and the law. They took that information and made a presentment to a grand jury. A jury of a peers in the district in which the alleged crime took place, and that grand jury spoke, and that grand jury returned a two count indictment against James Comey. James Comey allegedly threatened the life of the President of the United States. And as you all now know, shortly after posting that threat, he deleted that threat and then issued an apology. All of that information was presented to the grand jury, and Mr. Comey will have his day in court and his ability to speak to a jury of his peers. Thank you.
