What I want on Jan. 20th, 2029, is for President Democrat to clearly and definitively state during their inauguration speech that they intend to call for adding an additional six justices to SCOTUS while staring down Roberts.
And I want him to nominate figurative pipe hitters whose sole purpose is to make these motherfuckers so miserable that they vacate their seats. I mean zero decorum, zero congeniality and addressed with such contempt that they will openly bawl.

I was telling another DUer over dumail today that I am got pwned and dealt with a bunch of social engineering and it left me confused about social boundaries and filters that used to be automatic.
One reason Lina Khan is cool is that I support the stylistic seeming conservatism with no actual dilution of policy positions or stances. It is the best camouflage dammit. All substance no hullabaloo. That stuff attracts the wrong crowd.
I don’t mind being civil to people as long as it is recognized that there is never any give on environmental laws, democracy, science, enlightenment values, sexual harassment, misconduct, fraud, due process, corruption, truth etc. Those are rules everyone follows.
Well okay, I don’t follow marijuana laws. It is not the same thing. And it keeps me away from alcohol.
It is just that the system of trust is always the baseline assumption. A subset of horror movies I have seen start with that kind of civility violation followed by escalation. And it tires one out.
Civility eh.. hell I have even given up hard swearing which I feel is totally noble and self sacrificing - what can I say? I give to the community!

There is an awful thing called the Diplomacy Game those foul computer scripts are good at. But actually the world overall is looking more and more like another game - the Dictator game. I think earth has been gamed by those hacks. Never trust libertarians and that too ones in bed with the religious and mercenaries.
