Christian nationalism says the anti-democratic thing out loud:

I take a little comfort in believing that when he dies, he's going to be VERY surprised where he ends up.

The bots, trolls and hangers on on X are saying the quiet part out loud too:

The bots, trolls, and credulous hangers-on of TwiXter are crying out that the U.S. is a constitutional republic rather than a pure democracy. Yes: we do have a representative democracy, buttressed by constititional protections. That’s why the SCOTUS majority is wrong, (thread)

Applegrove: seems like the right wing is trying to normalize anti-democracy before the mid-terms.

You don’t try to silence something that isn’t scary. I’m guessing women are scary as hell to him.

them into evangelicalism to begin with. It normalizes them, at least within that group. Their nature was and is abhorrent to begin with.

and not a democracy is like saying that large woody plant in my yard is an oak, not a tree. Constitutional Republic is a form of democracy, but they seize on the distinction since they can argue that our form of government does not require a universal right to vote, like we had in our early days when minorities, women and indigent people were not allowed to vote.

Just like in the movie 300. The peak of manliness who prevailed against unbelievable odds - unlike those pansy Athenians and decadent Persians...

(Totally ignoring the history of the Pelloponnesan Wars, where they ended up 2 for 7 overall, if I remember, ending up being destroyed from within through slave revolts and economic collapse)

Nothing homoerotic about their group at all...
