As of May 2026, President Donald Trump has claimed "total victory" over Iran, describing them as the "loser of the Middle East". Iran has rejected this, stating the "[losing side] cannot set terms" and instead demanding conditions for ending the conflict, including reparations, after what they term a "crushing defeat" for the U.S.
Besides reparations from the United States, Iran wants to keep its nuclear weapons program, the
United States will have to walk away as the loser, the Iranian government will be more radical,
the Strait of Hormuz will stay under Iranian control, and the site of the girl’s school in Tehran where
we killed and injured 262 schoolgirls, teachers and rescue workers will become a shrine to the
victims and a place to celebrate Iran’s victory.

This unneeded and unwinnable war with Iran had stay the hell out of it written all over it. We had some good, experienced,
