(131,057 posts)we'd make little paper baskets, fill them with dandelions and any other flowers we could collect, and leave them on our neighbors' doorsteps. I think that tradition died out a very long time ago.

(41,059 posts)IIRC, we used paper muffin cups with pipe cleaner handles & filled them with small candies & blossoms or petals. We had an apple tree out back & a lilac bush, so we always had something sweet smelling. We stopped when we moved to the farm.

(13,366 posts)And when my girls were little we would make baskets and bring to the neighbors flowers.
I stopped after I went back to work and life got busy. Now retired my flowers havent grown out yet and I am not going to buy a bunch, actually I am buying nothing today

(25,389 posts)when we were little a few times. I thought it was fun and sweet, but since it wasn't really a "thing" in the CA suburb we lived in, I guess we kind of gave up on it.
