Kamala Harris: "We have to be ruthless too."

“This is how they play. They are strategic. They think long-term and they are ruthless…we have to be ruthless too.”

The same day SCOTUS dismantled the Voting Rights Act, I watched Kamala Harris take the stage at the Douglas Awards. She didn’t offer comfort; she offered real talk 🔥

“This is how they play. They are strategic. They think long-term and they are ruthless…we have to be ruthless too.”

20. About time
Fri May 1, 2026, 01:30 PM

if it actually really happens...........

"A LITTLE Late"??????????? How about 46 years too late, starting with the Corrupt/Treasonous 1980 Presidential Election?????
Some of us here have been screaming our heads off from the rooftops since the 1980 election, and it has fallen on deaf ears.

The perfect title for a book about the past 46+ years would be: WHILE THE NATION SLEPT

And here we are today, with a Republican "BORG"...........

It messed with Carter's reelection and made the hostages stay in captivity until Raygun's Inauguration, more than two months later. Although he was hailed as a hero, Raygun was a mofo traitor. Never forget that.

For the HWBush CABAL, much like WBush was a pawn for the Cheney/Rumsfeld CABAL, and like Trump for the "2025" CABAL.....

26 years of Corrupt, repeated, Treasonous actions....HWBush, Cheney, Trump........and all the while

The Dems were walking down the jungle path, swatting at mosquitoes, oblivious to the herd of charging elephants....pun intended

She was criticized by damn near every rightwinger and even some of those on the left.

Hillary said MAGA was a "basket of deplorables" in 2016 and she got shit on by every deplorable rightwinger and even some of those on the left.

If we want our side to be ruthless, let's stop shitting on them when they try to be.

Often it’s met with bleating about “not being like them.”

That mentality gets you killed (metaphorically speaking) in the current environment. It’s suicide.

If the Trump circus and their ruthless band of Republican bootlickers can jam the "Big Beautiful Bill" and "Project 2025" that favors the rich and the ruling class down the throats of the working class and poor, then Democrats should be ruthless in jamming a "Big Beautiful Bill" and "Project 2028" that favors the working class and the poor down the throats of the rich and the ruling class.

It's not enough to be "ruthless" just to win an election, Dems have to be ruthless when it comes to enacting real progressive legislation and undoing all the Republicans horrors of the last few years.
