Thought about going to gym today, did some laundry, instead of going to gym I folded two queen-size fitted sheets.
Worn out. Need a drink. Or two.

Well at least I can laugh at myself.
I am furious that all these Epstein perverts and mediocre assholes have taken society hostage over the common decency to not want to put shit like that on display. No wonder a reality show star is president.
I was pleased to find recently that I am not the only one with a floordrobe.

(92 posts)Usually I zone completely out while riding stationary bike at gym, but if the asshole next to me has Fox News playing Ive found I am no longer capable of not saying, fucking idiot!

I hate gyms. Used to walk, run, swim and do loads of calisthenics and other exercises. Sometimes I just stretch everything.
Exercise keeps me sane

(15,725 posts)How to Fold a Fitted Sheet (Step‑by‑Step, No Nonsense)
1. Hold the sheet inside‑out
Put your hands into two adjacent corners of the long side.
The sheet should be inside‑out and hanging vertically.
2. Tuck one corner into the other
Bring your right hand to your left hand.
Flip the right‑hand corner over the left‑hand corner so they nest together.
Now youre holding two corners in one hand.
3. Find the next corner and repeat
With your free hand, grab the third corner (still inside‑out).
Bring it to the pair youre holding and tuck it in the same way.
4. Add the fourth corner
Grab the last corner and fold it into the stack.
At this point, all four corners are nested together, and the sheet looks like a long, uneven rectangle.
5. Lay the sheet down
Place it on a flat surface (bed, table, countertop).
Smooth it into a clean rectangle the elastic edges will form one side.
6. Fold into thirds lengthwise
Fold the long rectangle into thirds, smoothing as you go.
You should now have a long, neat strip.
7. Fold into thirds again (or quarters)
Fold the strip into a square or rectangle that matches your linen‑closet style.
Press it flat with your hands for a crisp finish.

(131,081 posts)Wad it up in a ball and shove it into a drawer. It's a lot faster and less frustrating.

(6,037 posts)You fold the sheet in hslf either way and fold two corners at each end. Then one pair of corners goes into the other. It is actually once you try once or twice.

(43,406 posts)neat person. My bottom line is how much difference is it going to make? Zero IMO. Since unrolling a folded sheet onto a bed and putting it on will be covered by a bedspread or comforter, why should I spend the time?
A folded sheet takes up less space than one rolled up in a circle, though.
malaise
(297,554 posts)I have a separate drawer for three of the four fitted sheets.
It has never once crossed my mind to learn how to fold them.
I keep the flat covers with the pillow cases and sparespread..
Much quicker to roll the fitted sheet into a ball 😂

(358 posts)I make up one side to the middle of bed; then walk around and make the other. If you make sure the head is tucked in well, it will keep your upper body weight from pull sheet loose.
It is getting the feather bed back in it's cover that gets me.

(874 posts)That way you never have to fold the sheets. Just wash and dry and put them right back on.

But this was somehow a good reminder to start today at last.
My floordrobe wont fix itself and I want to get started on work rather than glumly stare all day at the news with dull loathing. And then I can do laundry etc.
