They must be the laziest god in the galaxy. They don’t do shit, except maybe help find a missing pet or two.

I totally support your right to believe however is right for you. We are each on our own path and no one's path is more important or more correct than someone else's.

It's hard to turn off all of the craziness these days, isn't it!

ANY attempts to bring ANY flavor of sky daddy or universal school marm or stern overlord into the public sphere and have it fobbed off on the public as "the one true god" should be met with utter disdain and outrage by everyone - religious or not.

For my Christian friends, unless you are prepared to advocate for daily bowing to Mecca as well as school prayers, SHUT THE FUCK UP and SIT DOWN. The same goes for any of my Jewish friends wishing to expel Palestinians or Arab friends looking to exterminate Jews. For my Hindu brothers and sisters of India, exterminating Pakistanis is likewise anathema! Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland seemed to have found a way to actually STOP killing each other and the unsteady peace has largely held for 20+ years now.

It IS possible to coexist without violence, but only when we allow freedom of AND from religion to dominate the public space.

Treat your religious beliefs the same as a penis - it is ok to love yours, but sharing it without consent with someone who does NOT have one is absolutely not allowed! It is fine to enjoy yours (again with other consenting adults only and ONLY in appropriate venues, not on public streets or gatherings!!!) and I truly do hope it is essential to your identity as well. BUT... do not give in to the impulse to show it to the general public at any time or share it inappropriately, do not claim yours is superior to all other makes, models and sizes and NEVER get it out around children, EVER!

And therein I shall have peace and wish universal favor upon you as well! Just remember - 99+% of all species to EVER live are now extinct. 99% of all gods ever imagined or created in man's image to ward away fear of the unknown are likewise extinct. If you are trying to revive the cult of Apollo or the church of Osiris or the congregation of Jupiter, you'll probably find a lot less comfort from perceived numbers and you should remain cognizant of that too!

It really sums it up nicely.

I don’t believe in a sky daddy, and I wish others who do, would not go around talking about theirs like it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Although I have to admit to taking some of the beliefs found in the Native American culture. Spirits exist in all things, not necessarily one superior all powerful being.

Religion - ANY religion - should never be forced on anyone. When it is, it is most assuredly and most naturally (what in the hell would you expect???!!!) met with resistance. As well it should.

Religion does not belong in government. Period.

I am a failing Christian. Every day. I screw up. I make mistakes. I am a bad person many times. I am no different than anyone else. My faith is important to me - same as Joe Biden's is important to him. But it is not my desire to force my beliefs on anyone.

All I ask is that my right TO believe be respected in the same way that I should respect anyone else's right to believe as I do, differently than I do, or not at all.

Matthew 6:6 [Revised Standard Version of the Bible, the one I grew up with]
"But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

If I still believed in a god, especially the Christian description as an all knowing, all loving, omnipotent god. I would have to wonder exactly what the population of earth did to deserve a being as destructive, mean, unloving as trump.
We don’t deserve to be saddled with him, we all couldn’t have sinned that much.
