Why did Charles wander off the line like he did? Then trump barged in and Charles was unable to get back to shaking hands. Charles stood there awkwardly with his hand out while Dementia Donny shook hands with people he sees every day. Very awkward and weird.

Did something happen between Charles and the next person he was to shake hands with? Charles was laughing. Somebody said something funny?

Whatever the case, Trump should have stayed out of it.

ETA: I watched again a couple times. Looked like somebody in line pulled his hand back away from Charles as if refusing to shake hands.

Or he may have been surprised to see that person and threw up his hands in a gesture of recognition. It happens around the 4” mark, in case anyone else wants to hazard a guess.

Then the classless no-clue clod barges in and crowds Charles out.

Another thing I noticed is Demento keeps ushering people around by putting his hand on their back. This is a control gesture and is a big no no in a situation like this.

It is a clue that he feels very awkward and that he is in a situation out of his control.

Heather Cox Richardson commented on his desperation in her podcast tonight. She said the ridiculous Comey filing by DOJ and the appeal to the Republicans to legislate his idiotic ballroom are also desperation signs. The DOJ filing will go nowhere, and the ballroom doesn’t stand a prayer in hell.
