Trump's Plans for 'Mic-Drop' Media Confrontation Are Leaked

The president is planning a rage-fueled moment at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

Donald Trump will launch a “revenge” attack on the White House media when he confronts them in person at a Washington dinner on Saturday night—then flee before there can be revenge.

He is expected to target publications that he has accused of writing negatively about his administration and his war with Iran, in particular, according to sources.

The Daily Beast is among the outlets the president and his aides have accused of “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Trump will leave the White House Correspondents’ Association event after making his speech, so he will miss the presentation of press awards—one of which would be certain to embarrass him.

He has told aides he has no intention of still being in the International Ballroom at the Washington Hilton when the Wall Street Journal is honored with the Katherine Graham award for its scoop about a bawdy letter Trump allegedly wrote for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday card.

It's easy to plan dinner elsewhere, or just hang out with your family. If you go there, you like being abused by Trump.

I hope somebody's taking the names of these shitbags.

Best plan of all!

I once went to a Halloween showing of Rocky Horror (crappy theatre in Iowa City—big college town) and they had all kinds of lame shit going on, worst of all a punk band who didn’t remotely fit the theme. To top it off, they were awful. I finally dug in my bag of props and unfolded my newspaper and held it up so I at least wouldn’t have to look at them. They quickly got pissed and stomped off and when I turned around to look at all the people cheering, the entire place had followed my lead and put their papers up, as well. Much cheering and exultation followed and the staff decided that’s where the movie should begin.

I would love to see a fresh version of that… except there’s no way in hell I’m going to watch anything with Shitler in it.

I'm guessing, who will not be attending. Both Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell have said they will not be attending.

Why do I keep thinking of Games of Thrones in this context? Is he planning a Red Wedding or just fantasizing about it?

Your time is coming.

Nothing is working for him. Nothing is going to plan...what plan there actually was. Iran is a complete failure and it's driving him nuts. His poll numbers are cratering. My worry is we've entered the dangerous time where he lashes out more and more, damaging himself and the country. Maybe that's what the country needs to rid itself of this cancerous bullshit.

Trump's 'revenge' meltdown plans leak for White House Correspondents' Dinner: report #RawStory

#TuckFrump (@realtuckfrumper.bsky.social) 2026-04-22T22:21:24.000Z

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-speech-2676801467/

President Donald Trump is preparing to throw a scripted tantrum at the White House Correspondents' Dinner this year, reported The Daily Beast on Wednesday.

"Donald Trump will launch a 'revenge' attack on the White House media when he confronts them in person at a Washington dinner on Saturday night — then flee before there can be revenge," said the report. "He is expected to target publications that he has accused of writing negatively about his administration and his war with Iran, in particular, according to sources."

This would track with his recent rants on Truth Social, where he has accused of the media of rigging reports about the Iran war to make it look like it's going worse than it actually is.

After he is done with his speech, said the report, he is skipping on the rest of the ceremony — in large part because he doesn't want to stick around for an award being given to a story that revealed his closeness to deceased financier and accused child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

"Trump will leave the White House Correspondents’ Association event after making his speech, so he will miss the presentation of press awards — one of which would be certain to embarrass him," said the report. "He has told aides he has no intention of still being in the International Ballroom at the Washington Hilton when the Wall Street Journal is honored with the Katherine Graham award for its scoop about a bawdy letter Trump allegedly wrote for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday card."

Use his raging, unfiltered profanity as an excuse for refusing to cover this fiasco. Whatever print publications that do attend will at least have the opportunity to edit his crappy speech before it's sent out to the world. Best of all possibilities: there's no media coverage whatsoever. Let them all boycott it.
