Neither do lawyers and money. And they won't work on Iran's ability and willingness to cause global economic instability either.

Yesterday, referring to Iran, Trump said, "They wanted to close up the strait again, you know, as they've been doing for years"

Getting rid of public assistance programs, and hospitals/healthcare programs in especially RURAL America is going to result in far greater numbers, into the millions.....All of Rural America that voted for him and still back him and the Republican Party can't see beyond the end of their collective noses, and are being thrown under the infamous Trump bus.

1. Declare victory and leave. The best option by far, but very hard to spin since it will actually be a loss.

2. Escalate.

Some might say there is a third option -- the status quo is maintained as a "forever war". However that's not viable, since the straits will stay mostly closed and the world economy will eventually crash before too long.

Since Trump can't spin this as a victory, and he is psychologically unable to accept defeat, he will escalate.

As magicarpet said in a post a few days ago: "we are so fucked".
