To all the Catholics and MAGA "Christians" upset with Trump right now:

A MEME upset you?

Not Trump's having 5 kids with 3 different wives, paying off a porn star, conviction of sexual assault, stealing from numerous charities; not inciting violence to overthrow the government, numerous Epstein connections, or having an ICE Goon squads murdering peaceful protestors on the streets of America, but a Meme?

Right...

My Irish ancestry were potato farmers and they sure produced a lot of Catholics that knew trump was garbage all along.

My Catholic grade school brought in Maryknoll sisters, teaching us about our obligations to the poor. I learned about liberation theology. I learned about the assassination of Archbishop Romero on altar. I learned about a former priest, calling attention to the School of the Americas. I learned about nuns who protest against the death penalty.

I learned that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, and for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. I learned that we were all here to love God and love each other, and that all people are children of God, and therefore deserve to be treated as our brothers and sisters.

It isn’t perfect, but I don’t see any point in pushing people away based on their religion.
As far as I know, the only two Catholic presidents we ever had were both Democrats: JFK and Joe Biden.
So why in the world would we want people to think that there’s something wrong with being a Democrat if you’re a catholic or vice versa?

Many of us have spoken out about him since he first came on the political scene, and have also been astonished at the way some people have followed and defended him under the guise of their religion.

We have been witness to an escalation in his demented acts, and this meme is (as you said) the latest in a long line. In my belief, it is complete and utter blasphemy. Taking it down or trying to explain it away did not erase the fact that he felt confident enough and egotistical enough to put it up in the first place. That is what the real issue is.

Shame on him and anyone who makes excuses for him doing this.

or against a candidate because of one issue, independent of whatever else the candidate does or says and even if those things go against everything they believe in.

For those Catholics, the issue was, and is, abortion.

If Adolf announced he was returning to take over, he would lose but if he also said, he was against abortion, those Catholics would vote for him, provided his opponent held the opposite view.

...and like every other issue, when and if you can have a calm rational discussion that fills in the whole picture, they realize they actually want privacy between a doctor and patient and support abortion for reproductive emergencies, reproductive unsustainability, incest and rape!

I asked one Catholic woman voter about why in the heck did she vote for Chump when she knows all this. She said, she believed all the propaganda from the other side.

And therefore, wondered how many ex-Catholics there are in total so l checked (it might be 13% of adult US but that was an AI search) and they don't track how the ex-religious people vote.

Your question got me thinking though so I also searched on how all the other religious voters voted and found this.

There are more than one root cause for the abomination that is Trump.

Religion failed, but it was joined by the traditional press, the media/TV outlets, the entirety of the GOP, Congress abdicating its role, and many more entities.

In short, we are in this mess because of the systemic failure of our entire government and can't get back to level without a MASSIVE correction and shift. We have one last chance in November to mimic the Hungary election results and stop this insanity.
