.myself getting peeved with my party and I think I can blame some of the fine folks here at the underground. There has been enough complaining here, about Dem leadership in particular, that it has started to give me a somewhat jaundiced viewpoint when I consider my parties recent actions and positions. This is from someone who has complained in the past about the DU purity police and their insistence on toeing the party line..
Dont get me wrong, Ive complained about Chuck Schumer in the past, but now I feel like Ive got to step away from DU for a bit and get my head straight.

(81,359 posts)So I am fine with reading other people opinions.
But we all need a break from time to time these days.
Our current situation is brutal.

(935 posts)..been little to no push-back against these complaints about Dems. So mostly hearing one side of a story, instead of the both sides we both would prefer.

(40,730 posts)Trump and the GOP have decimated their own party. GOPer officials are divided and practically incoherent on a common platform. MAGA is so mocked and reviled, it may never be able to come back.
Democrats all over the country are throwing their hats in the ring and running in an unprecedented wave, from state to federal seats. And they're winning. Candidates are tossing away centrism and running to the left, for the first time since the Clinton Administration.
And AIPAC is finally FINALLY no longer a taboo subject.
Things look pretty good to me

(20 posts)I think things are going pretty well too, as long as I don't think about the war and its associated casualties and higher prices.
I've been interested in the accelerationists views and the book The Great Leveller so I'm pretty happy about the latest news.

Idiot magas thought that they were part of a "revolution" against all the ills that Fux News cooked up. They STILL don't realize that the revolution was against everything that benefited them. My usual {insert pic here}

They never will. But The Democratic Party CAN, WILL, AND MUST be revolutionary.
The Progressives are leading the way. They're moving what's called an "Overton Window" of acceptability for GOOD OLD DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES of helping the working slob. And pointing out the real problem, the insane concentration of wealth. Bernie is raising hell about the oligarchs trying to gain complete control of power, water, investment capital, computer parts and THOUGHT with AI megaplants.
PEOPLE AGREE.
But if we kow-tow to the same old billionaires, we ARE the problem, not the solution.

Somewhere where she's never been before.

Won't win her anymore, anymore.
