'He's very angry': Explosive report warns Trump Cabinet purge may just be getting started

By Robert Davis
Published April 2, 2026 8:20 PM ET

President Donald Trump may not be done shaking up his Cabinet after he gave Attorney General Pam Bondi the boot on Thursday, according to a new report.

One administration official "familiar with the dynamics" of the Trump White House told Politico that Trump has also expressed frustration with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, and that both could be removed from the administration imminently. Three people "with knowledge" of the president's thinking confirmed the rumors to Politico as well, according to the report.

“He’s very angry and he’s going to be moving people,” an administration official said.

Angry.................Bullshit...............its all about his ego...............Bondi can now be brought in to answer questions about the Epstein crime while she was the Attorney General of Florida...........and what she did as head of the DOJ...............

He’s lashing out.

Polls are at “last people at the party” level.
The numbers (economy) are in the tank.
He fired AG Pamela Jo (there’s thankfully only been one Roy Cohn)
Hegseth fired the old school Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George.
—- both will likely be primary scapegoats in specific Trump failures.
He gave a Its all too much completely out of touch rant about daycare vs. war yesterday.
He had 4 legal losses this week

Aaaand he probably personally witnessed another pillar of his 2nd term (with tariffs) crumble yesterday.

It’s not funny. He’s not cornered but it’s coming from all directions including, he knows, the sky falling in….and that scary.

...the SAVE act is DOA in the Senate, and a bunch of other setbacks. He's being reined in right and left and is apparently not happy about it. Well, replacing the AG and anyone else on the cabinet isn't going to change that. It's just new people with the same impossible tasks. Poor Donnie. He just can't have his way.

Maybe this will finally push him over the edge. Come on cerebral hemorrhage!

I’m not very abreast in the current stock of blondes on Fox.

Seriously. He’s lashing out. He knows how bad it is and in every direction including the sky falling in. Hegseth fired the Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, as you probably know, but that’s “just” the Iran Disaster. Trump has it coming in from everywhere.

One of my favorite Stephen Colbert quotes.

The thing, there seems to be a bottomless pit filled with corrupt, un-qualified, sociopaths willing to prove that they can kiss Trump's smelly ass to secure a seat with all the insider-trading the job promises. Pardons guaranteed for the price of giving the fucked-up family a cut of that graft.

Nothing is going his way, and blaming others for his failures is sop for a guy who would rather die than admit his own mistakes. So OF COURSE he is going to look around for people to blame for the mess he's in now.

Unfortunately, he's probably going to pick replacements who are worse than their predecessors, but the process should be entertaining to watch.

MIDTERMS about this cabinet shuffle/purge? Is he attempting to put in place those with absolute blind obedience? I know, it's a stretch when you consider the history of someone like Bondi. But then consider that Trump was allegedly pissed at Bondi for giving a heads-up to Swalwell about the release of FBI documents. Trump wants absolute obedience. Even the smallest divergence from that is unacceptable to him.
