I just filled the gas tank on my motorhome with 61.5 gallons of regular, it cost me $267.02...

Compared to the $167.22 it cost me for 57.9 gallons of regular in June of 2024. When PRESIDENT BIDEN was in office.

Thanks "Stupid Fuck"!

Less than 4 gallons difference for $100 more.

But let's talk about the price of eggs.

Or going from Vancouver Island in western Canada to Prince Edward Island in eastern Canada?

Or while seeing all of the spectacular scenery driving from Neah Bay which is the northwestern most tip of the contiguous US in Washington state to Eastport Maine, the easternmost city in the continental US?

There are trade offs in life. We decided we would trade a fixed residence for some incredible experiences and scenery.

We know fuel prices are part of our lifestyle, I was just showing what a difference a "regime change" can make.

the percentage under 100%. That’s not like him. I worry that he’s ill.

Second, I was shocked a couple of weeks ago that my Grocery Outlet here on the Central Coast had eggs for $1/dozen! I bought only two dozen. Had I been smart I would’ve bought 6, eaten nothing but eggs for the next couple of weeks and used the savings for gas!

A tank of gas last me about 3 months. I used to burn through a tank a week commuting to work.

Still get together with former coworkers once in awhile for lunch. They get so pissed that my gas lasts that long!!

Happy retirement!!!

Early retirement at age 57 due to health issues.
I am shocked how much my health improved after retiring because I had time to walk many miles on the golf course playing golf.
Another surprise, now with better health, my living expenses are lower than I thought was possible. Biggest savings in income tax and car expense.
Wish you 30 years of happy retirement 👍

The Diesel prices are already starting a shock wave through the economy. The next 90 days are going to be brutal on the economy.

WTI crude is $111 / bbl today.

AAA has Diesel at $5.53 nationally today. That's up 42& in a month. This is going to drive a big inflation spike.

I would have to look up the details because I was quite young at the time. I know it was a conflict with the middle east - perhaps Libya? At any rate, I do remember sitting in those lines.

This was my target year. Just moved to Vermont. The plan was to visit all
of the different famous mountain biking trails throughout this state and
grab all the accompanying nature in those areas.

Shelving those plans for who knows how long, if ever.
