Iran gamble backfiring with voters

The Bulwark
Mar 30, 2026

JVL and Sarah Longwell give their takes on the shocking new UMass poll showing Donald Trump at just 33% approval, only one point away from the “Bush line.” As the Iran war drags on, gas prices rise, and inflation worsens, they dig into what’s really driving Trump’s downfall and whether it signals real movement with voters. Plus, they react to Brendan Carr openly celebrating media firings as a political “win” for Trump and what it says about power, influence, and the future of the press.

Wag the Dog worked in the movies.

But it did have
Robert De Niro. Dustin Hoffman, Anne Heche, Denis Leary, Willie Nelson., ( I don't remember Willie Nelson being there), Andrea Martin, Woody Harrelson, Kirsten Dunst, and William H. Macy

instead of the cast of Trump, Trump, Trump and Miller of "Miller Low Life"

Will people forget when Trump drops the big one and gets his "Unconditional Surrender?" (He so likes to copycat Democrats) or when Cuba is invaded and resorts return, as in the Batista days?

Here shown with the lovable Meyer Lansky, a kind of predecessor to "Kushner and the Grifters"

FWIW, it's always allergy season here.

Park the auto under the scrub oak and it's yellow-green in no time.

Thanks!

Despite numerous differences in opinion, I have always respected Sarah. I haven't spoken with her in a while, actually since Biden was president. She is intelligent and sincere in wanting what's best for the country.
