This is an international problem, quasi armies in unstable countries, especially in Eastern Europe kidnap women off the street and threaten to kill their families if they don't do as they are told. They are trained in places like Belgium to serve wealthy men. These women are students, women with jobs, and likely from stable families. This has gone on for a long time.

The quasi armies are the rag tag teams that still exist after war or revolution has taken place. They operate on their own but with no interference from actual police. They are paid for the women they bring in.
