Trump worrying over ICE agents at airports wearing masks

Trump appears sensitive to the optics of masked ICE agents in airports.

This is notable as a legal matter because DHS has argued in court (though judges are skeptical) that the mask policy is optional for each agent to decide based on personal/local safety concern.

...he could simply order them to take off their masks.

they wear mask and can’t be identified. It’s no different than the mindset of a person walking around with a gun on them. It changes how a person thinks and reacts.
