(28,319 posts)b) United States currency has the inscription "In God We Trust" in a place the Secretary decides is appropriate. Only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities. The name of the individual shall be inscribed below the portrait.

(126,055 posts)But I'm working out "what I should say in public when"
And when I hear the rump gang wants to celebrate our 250th with a rump coin, I think I should respond:
She said her name was Harriet Tubman and she drove for the underground railroad and I want HER on my currency

(11,819 posts)On a totally unrelated note but with no other place to post it, I had quite a grand chuckle last evening when visiting a local attraction with out-of-town relatives. One had expressed a desire to take an evening horse-drawn carriage tour of the city, and I happened to have a gift certificate that had gone unused which the business accepted even though it had expired, so why not? Upon entering the stables, our driver pointed out a 19 y.o. retired horse happily greeting customers. He was huge and a color that resembled Cheetos, with a long blond mane. The sign above his stable gate indicated his name was...Donald. Irony lives!
(Note: For the record, these horses are maintained and pampered very elegantly. Most humans would love to have the care with which they are treated. There is no overwork or abuse, and the businesses are regularly inspected.)
i had a grand chuckle last even
