Trump on why he agreed to attack Iran alongside Israel, “based on what Steve [Witkoff], Jared [Kushner] and Pete [Hegseth] were telling me, Marco [Rubio] also involved, I thought Iran would attack us.”

?s=20

Every US intelligence assessment on Iran- including Hegseth's January "National Defense Strategy" - did not identity an imminent threat of any kind, but Trump takes us to war on the recommendation of two real estate salesmen and a weekend talk show host. He's an idiot.

6. Once again, Trump is...

... trying to shift blame to underlings for this monumental clusterfuck, even though he'd been – in public – salivating like one Pavlov's dogs at the thought of killing people... from a safe distance, of course. He wanted a war, and it would serve a dual purpose: first, of course, as a desperate attempt to distract public attention from the burgeoning blowback of the Epstein coverup, and to lay the groundwork for justifying the takeover of elections and installing himself for a third – and open-ended – term. Remember "You won't have to vote ever again"? It was NOT an offhand remark; it's been his plan from the git-go. At least, insofar as he's even capable of making a plan. His mind is miasma of cloudy chaos, and you can bet that Nosferatu Miller has been guiding his scatter-brained decision-making through the minefield of fuck-ups Trump has laid for himself. Here's hoping a political Bouncing Betty finds his cankled foot.

8. Why do we even have "intelligence" agencies?
Fri Mar 20, 2026, 08:42 AM

It costs a frightful amount of money keeping these agencies going:

- Two independent agencies—the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA);

- Nine Department of Defense elements—the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the National Security Agency (NSA), the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency (NGA), the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and intelligence elements of the five DoD services; the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force.

- Seven elements of other departments and agencies—the Department of Energy’s Office of Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence; the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis and U.S. Coast Guard Intelligence; the Department of Justice’s Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Office of National Security Intelligence; the Department of State’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research; and the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis

Chump listens to NONE of these groups! He doesn't meet with them or read their reports. All of their work is ignored, apparently. They should all just resign and run for cover.

If you're passionate about a new movement or candidate, fine. Volunteer, donate, work on their campaign.

Help them get into Congress first. They may not win on their first try. Keep supporting them to run again If they don't win their primary.

But, in the General Election, you have to vote your party even if the Candidate isn't your perfect vision. Especially when the opposing party candidate is a cross between Jim Jones and Hitler. I know there were Reagan Democrats and Republicans that voted for Clinton or Obama but that was different.

When the opposing Candidate is openly saying they're going to tear everything down and punish their opponents and has been openly hostile against America's allies and trading partners. When the opposing Candidate is demonstrably delusional and attracts other such people causing them to inflict violence on our fellow citizens and our law enforcement. When the opposing Candidate uses hate speech and verbally threatens members of marginalized communities. You must show up vote against them for the Candidate having the best chance of beating them. And, encourage your friends and family. Drive them to the polls to help them vote if necessary.

Encourage your associates who normally vote for the opposing party to flip or skip on their ballot. Ask them, "does this really represent you". And if it does tell them they're out of your life until they change. Don't play nice.

France, Norway, and Denmark were occupied by the Nazis during WWII. After the war the people who cooperated were ostracized. No One would help them or talk to them. We have to do that to Trumpers when this is over. Especially people who joined ICE after Trump took office.

35. Could his fantasy of unrivaled brilliance and power be breaking down?
Fri Mar 20, 2026, 03:14 PM

If so, he will certainly get even more unhinged as his malignant narcissism and psychopathic cruelty fights to restore the fantasy.

And in that fantasy, if he does "it" -- whatever "it" may be -- it is destined to be wildly successful (the most successful "it" in the history of the planet).

Since he only hears what he wants to hear, it doesn't actually matter what others say. Occasionally, he is talked down from this or that impulse, but once he makes a decision, he MUST cling to the belief it was the most brilliant and best decision ever made.

if any doubts about his own power and brilliance are allowed to sneak through (and blaming others seems to indicate doubts are penetrating) his eggshell ego will crumble in a heap

I suspect his mental illness will rebuild the fantasy, and once again, render him incapable of seeing the shit show the world is seeing. We will probably see him falling back on the self-protective belief that any "problems" that might arise will be solved with a snap of his fingers. He is just that brilliant and powerful. And when his brilliant "solutions" fail, it's not his fault. It is the fault of others who failed to stumble over each other to kiss his feet (tears in their eyes) in recognition of his brilliant "moves."

He has some grift coming out of this like with Venezuela. He said wants them to let him pick their next leader who will be someone that will cut him in on the oil profits. In Venezuela he let the Chavista Vice President take office over the opposition party leader who he pressured into giving him her Nobel Prize because he got the oil money and put it in a bank in Qatar.

I hope Qatar keeps the money to pay for their oil and gas field that got hit by Iranian missiles.
