For half of us it was to improve our grades to get into college. The other half it was a reform school.

I lean more toward it being a correctional facility. One that failed.

troubled males off to military "academies". I opt to call them militaristic reform schools. Had a cousin who was sent to one of them. He moved on to eventually graduate from a law school, but was disbarred for stealing funds from an elderly woman's estate.

Guess those schools didn't always make a difference.

I read that Trump was loaned a classmate’s jacket that had more achievement awards for his graduation picture.

lightweight studies. They played baseball, bowled, learned to drive and perhaps shoot a gun. His big claim to fame was being chosen to lead the academy cadets in a NYC parade.
